• WIMNA SoCal Chapter - Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach Preview

  Co-hosted by SAE SoCal, WIMNA-SoCal, SWE-LA, and MPG, this fireside chat will feature Lisa Boggs and Cara Krstolic of Bridgestone/Firestone and Hannah Westbrook of Honda Racing Corporation (HRC).  They will share their insights into the motorsports industry that will benefit those seeking to enter this exciting field or just want more information about what it takes to succeed in motorsports today. Lisa Boggs is the Motorsports Director for Bridgestone/Firestone while Cara Krstolic is the Chief Engineer for their race tires.  Cara is also a FSAE alum from the University of Akron.  Hannah is a Principal Engineer and the Applications Group lead for HRC and a University of Pittsburgh FSAE alum.

  Appetizers and beverages will be served to kick off the event, followed by the fireside chat, and concluding with a raffle and plenty of valuable networking opportunities.

  Thank you for your interest in covering the 2026 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Media credential requests are now OPEN.

  All requests for Long Beach media credentials must be submitted by Friday, March 20, 2026.  All media outlets must submit their requests with the name of the person(s) needing credentials and their function at the race.  The request MUST come from the outlet’s editor or producer.  

  We do not accept requests from freelance journalists, writers or photographers. If you are a freelancer working for a credited news outlet, then the request must come from the person for whom you are working, and you will need to have your editor or producer submit a letter of assignment on your behalf.

  Once we have received and processed your request, a confirmation letter will be sent to you.

  After we have processed your credentials, there will be no changing or switching of names.  Due to space allocation within the race circuit, we reserve the right to limit the number of credentials issued for each news outlet and also to limit your accessibility to different areas.

  For the past decade, SAE SoCal has supported this exceptional FREE seminar for racers, first responders, track professionals, enthusiasts, and event attendees. This year’s seminar will feature keynote speaker Alwin Springer—renowned Porsche racing engineer, co-founder of ANDIAL, and former president of Porsche Motorsport North America.  Joining Springer are two additional distinguished speakers: Jim Ryan, VP at SCORE International Off-Road Racing, who will discuss safety considerations and advancements in off-road racing, and who will discuss the latest safety advancements in off-road racing, and Lee Kennedy, former President of the Southern California Timing Association (SCTA), who will share perspectives on land-speed racing and the unique safety challenges of high-speed competition on the salt.

  Attendees must have access to the Long Beach Convention Center via either a GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET OR TRACK CREDENTIAL.
