After a brief but intense bout with cancer, Page One Automotive Founder and President Terry Page died peacefully on Saturday, March 25, surrounded by family.
A pioneer in the automotive PR industry, Terry was dedicated to developing innovative solutions while always working to bring people and teams together. He built many great, long-term relationships with auto manufacturers, media, colleagues and staff over the past 30+ years. Terry’s collaborative approach resulted in a thriving business with five West Coast offices and more than 100 employees.
Terry founded Page One in 1983 after a chance meeting and request for a Ford media test vehicle delivery. In the late ‘80s, Page One expanded to Seattle and Vancouver/Portland. The Phoenix and Los Angeles offices were added in 2008. That same year, Terry helped found North American Vehicle Services (NAVS) – an alliance of six fleet and event management companies that partnered to offer national account coverage via 14 cities across the U.S.
In the past few years, the Page One team had been preparing for Terry’s retirement, with Chief Financial and Operations Manager Melissa Taylor handling day-to-day operations and Los Angeles General Manager Chris Williams recently stepping into the role of Vice President of Operations.
Terry’s inspiring philosophy of teamwork, growth, flexibility and commitment will be carried forward by the Page One team.
The Page family will hold a memorial service to celebrate the life of Terry Page on Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at The Marin Art & Garden Center, 30 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Ross, California 94957.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Lung Cancer Alliance (the highest rated nonprofit dedicated to fighting lung cancer in the country). Checks may be made payable to Lung Cancer Alliance with memo line listing Terry Page or online at lungcanceralliance.org where one can indicate “in honor of Terry Page.”
