SoCal car geeks and race fans over the age of 40 remember Riverside International Raceway. Gone for over two decades now, that site is now homes and shopping malls. Not as many people recall that Indycars raced in the streets of Corona 100 years ago. That track remains today.
Join us on Saturday, April 23rd for a private tour of two world-class collections. We’ll start at the by-invitation-only Tom Malloy Collection in Corona, and then proceed to the Riverside International Automotive Museum.

The Tom Malloy Collection in Corona has one of the most impressive collections of Indycars in the world. Tom was introduced to racing at a young age by his Dad – Emmett J. Malloy – who owned two open-wheel race cars and built/owned Carrell Speedway in Gardena, California. Because of his passion to preserve the history of American auto racing, he has built an unique private collection of cars and racing memorabilia. Tom has promised us that a few surprise guests from the motorsports world will be joining us.
The Riverside International Automotive Museum was the work of the late Doug Magnon. As noted on their website, Doug was passionate about Maserati, Eagle race cars, and anything involving Italy, including food and wine. Doug’s interest in Maserati, which began with an Indy, led to the largest collection of Maseratis in North America and the creation of the Riverside International Auto Museum (RIAM). Dave and Norma Jordan will be our guides at the RIAM.
Restrictions: MPG members plus a guest. This is meant to be an exclusive MPG event – please do not invite beyond a plus one guest.
