Pull back the car cover and let’ get out and drive. The MPG is bringing back the Power Tour.
Join fellow MPG members on the 2021 MPG Power Tour on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Bring your personal car, collectible or press car. And make the drive for a good cause. All proceeds from the event benefit the homeless through the work of the Union Rescue Museum just in time for Thanksgiving.
We will be meeting at Motivo at 9:00am for coffee, donuts and a quick tour of the facility. From flying cars, autonomous vehicles, electric boats, 3D printed supercars, to lithium-powered leaning trikes, Motivo projects involve re-imagining ways to move people, things and spaces in a cleaner, more connected future. Motivo is located at 17700 S. Figueroa Street in Gardena (The Southeast corner of 182nd & Figueroa)
We will depart Motivo on a drive route that will conclude at our final destination, the new Lions Automobilia Foundation and Museum. The Lions Automobilia Foundation & Museum is located at 2790 E. Del Amo Blvd. in Rancho Dominguez.
The Museum will be available to MPG members and guests for private viewing. Featured Exhibits at the Museum include a Historical Perspective of Lions Drag Strip, Rick’s Garage that includes the Rick Lorenzen Collection that represent various eras of the Hot Rod, Muscle Car and Service Vehicles and the Stone Woods and Cook Collection of famous vintage drag race cars. We will have box lunches and refreshments included.
Registration for the event must be completed by October 22.
Register for the event by going here
The cost is $40.00 with all event registration proceeds being donated to the Union Rescue Mission.
We look forward to seeing our MPG members and touring Motivo Engineering and the new Lions Automobilia Foundation and Museum.
