The Motor Press Guild is offering our members a chance to dive, hands-on, into the innovative world of automotive infotainment systems at our first-ever “Infotainment Immersion” event at The Proud Bird — it promises to be your most informative lunch this month!

.

Join us Tuesday, April 24, at our luncheon in Los Angeles as the Infotainment Immersion showcases the latest and greatest in-vehicle technology from multiple automakers, allowing journalists and other MPG members a hands-on opportunity to delve into today’s infotainment systems so they can spread that knowledge to their readers and viewers.

.

From Apple CarPlay integration to Wi-Fi hotspots and OEM-specific smartphone apps, Infotainment Immersion aims to celebrate the latest developments in vehicle entertainment and technology as it pertains to connectivity, audio, and user interface. The technology showcase will take place in the Proud Bird parking lot during the monthly luncheon, with OEM representatives offering MPG members hands-on demonstrations of each system.

After much discussion, the Board has deemed it necessary to implement a few new practices when it comes to attendance for our luncheons. Please keep in mind that these new guidelines are set in place to help our organization.

1. PRE-REGISTRATION IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED
As is the case with many events – automotive or otherwise – a headcount is very important for various reasons. It’s rare to see any event these days promoted without a deadline on ticket sales. Your pre-registration does several things – it ensures interest in the topic, income to cover event costs, and peace of mind and convenience when it comes to giving our sponsors and venue a ballpark attendance number.

2. PRE-SALE TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT A LOWER PRICE THAN AT-THE-DOOR SALES.
As an incentive to help us secure our audience and plan accordingly, members who pre-register will pay a lower price for their ticket to the event. Early-bird registrations will receive a $5 discount; registrations received the week before are at regular price, and at-the-door sales will be $5 more than the regular price.
