The 2016 Motor Press Guild Board of Directors election results were announced on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the MPG Board meeting. Three incumbent board members, Jason Fogelson, Darryll Harrison and Doug Stokes, were re-elected by the MPG members. The sitting 2015 board then voted to expand its membership to include incumbent Deb Pollack, the number four vote recipient, and will add a new board member in 2017 and 2018 to bring the total number of MPG Board of Directors members to 12.
“We believe that having a larger board of directors will make room for new faces and help spread the workload in this volunteer organization,” said Jason Fogelson, MPG.
Once the 2016 MPG Board of Directors was seated, their first action was to elect new officers for the year, as required by the MPG By-Laws. Board Member Shad Balch chaired the process. The board re-elected the same slate of candidates that led the organization in 2015: Secretary Chris Woodyard; Treasurer Darryll Harrison; Vice-President Michael Harley; and President Jason Fogelson.
