MPG Luncheon Meetings

The Motor Press Guild Monthly Luncheon Meetings are held from January through September on the second Tuesday of the month (beginning in 2009) and usually consist of a featured speaker or panel of interest to the automotive press. Held at The Proud Bird, near LAX, on the second Tuesday of the month luncheon programs feature prominent guest speakers who bring “insider” information and insight to subjects ranging from vehicle-related environmental legislation and international trade issues to new technical developments, corporate happenings and the world of motor racing.

Member price for the luncheon meeting is $25, and is open to automotive industry professionals on a first-come, first-served basis. The guest/non-member fee is $30.

Social starts at 11:30 a.m., with the luncheon meeting starting at noon.

From the Westbound 105 Freeway: (if traveling east of the 405) take the La Cienega/Aviation Boulevard exit. Turn left on Imperial Highway, and right onto Aviation. Continue one block to the Proud Bird on your right.

From the 405 Freeway: (northbound or southbound), take the 105 Freeway West connector, and exit at Nash Street. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Imperial Highway, and continue to Aviation Boulevard. Turn left on Aviation Boulevard and continue one block to the Proud Bird on your right.

 Schedule

Regular meetings of the Motor Press Guild are held on the second Tuesday of each month from January through September. October is the MPG Track Day. November is the MPG Keynote Speaker and Breakfast at the LA Auto Show. December is the Dean Batchelor Award banquet.
